As the clock ticks forward toward the arrival of the new year, I like to peer over my shoulder at the year coming to a close before I turn forward to tackle the year ahead.

In 2017, I spent lots of time with family, lots of time playing in my flowerbeds, and lots of time immersed in a variety of courses. I spent less time in front of the computer writing the stories in my heart, perhaps because old stories had surfaced and I needed to clear them out to make room for some new stories.

Yes, it was that kind of year. A year filled with introspection. A year in which old paths closed and new paths began to appear. A year of opening myself to new possibilities and fresh ideas and healing…so much healing.

Tomorrow we begin a new year. I don’t know what’s out there yet. Perhaps you have a clearer vision of the months ahead of you than I do. (If so, tell me about it in the comments!) Or perhaps you’re still fumbling around and trying to find your way like I am.

What I know for sure is that 2018 is a year of letting go. Lately, everything I’ve stumbled across has steered me toward this idea until I finally opened my eyes and my heart to the fact that it’s time.

LET GO.

Relationships, anger, the truth…whatever.

Maybe you’ll see some of it here…probably…most likely. In the new year, I have stories to write and a series to finish while I open my heart and let go so I can make room for whatever the universe has in store for me in.

In the meantime, I wish 2018 brings each of you health and happiness, peace and prosperity, love and laughter. May all of your dreams come true.
